A snowmobiler was buried in the Gravelly Range, but was able to pop his arm out of the snow. His partners watched the entire slide and had his head uncovered in 30 seconds. Photo: Anonymous

A snowmobiler triggered this small slide while playing on this slope. He was fully buried, but was dug out by his partners and unharmed. This slide occurred on a north facing slope and failed on buried surface hoar 1 to 1.5 feet below the surface. Photo: Anonymous
